Typically when a newborn is discharged at 24-48 hours from a hospital, he/she should be assessed clinically within 24-48 hours after discharge by a professional. 

 

Sometimes this is difficult if you don't have a doctor or nurse practitioner, you can't get in to see the one you have, or you just don't want to leave your home.

I will come to your home to do a full assessment of yourself and your infant(s). 

 

Learn about your baby and your recovery in a relaxed setting. 

 

Postpartum Home Visit to include:

 

• Full clinical head-to-toe assessment of infant and woman if requested

• Infant Feeding assessment and breast care

• Input and output

• Weight & measurements

• Health teaching & education

• Documentation of the visit for your files

• Prescriptions and diagnostics if necessary

• Consultation if necessary

• Referral to Specialist if needed
